I collected random paint chips at Lowes, and took them to a favorite nature reserve.\u00a0 As I walked I paid attention to the landscape and which colors felt potent in relation to places on the trail.\u00a0 Then I marked those points with the appropriate chips, which added poetic significance by providing a title to the location–as written on the color chip.\u00a0 In ways I felt it to be an overlay map of an existing trail.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Artistically and aesthetically I enjoy subtle interruptions of ordinary experience\u2019s which create opportunity for reflection.\u00a0 I intentionally kept the project anonymous, without instruction or prescribed results for the individuals to experience it as a chance encounter.\u00a0 Below are a few select markers–there were ten markers in total stretched over a one mile loop.\u00a0 The titles below the images, are both the names written on the paint chip as well as the title of the location.<\/p>\n
