The link above is to street artists who make the world their canvas. Projecting their view of the world and how they feel and or respond to it. Creating glimpses of reality for better or for worse. The beauty of street art throughout these portrayals is that in most cases these constructs are unavoidable. Where in many cases when we disagree with certain aspects of reality we can just decide to ignore their existence, perhaps even pretending they don’t exist. But when you project aspects of any reality in an public art form, these realities become hard to avoid or face. You may look away and choose not to engage with the art but it will remain there just as it perhaps does in the existing world we live. To me, this denotes attention to the that fact that your comfort in ignoring sed aspects is truly doing nothing at all.
