Question Bridge is a video installation created by members of the Cause Collective, allows Blacks males of varying ages to engage in national conversation about Black, male masculinity. Members record and upload their questions to the projects website where other participants have a chance to record their video responses.
This format is reminiscent of the “call and response” devices used in African American folk culture. This exhibit makes space in a gallery setting for the typically marginalized Black, male demographic. Spanning the spectrum of ages, this work not only sparks national conversation, but encourages “community” conversations across generations.
