The concept of land art described in Lecture 1.1 – Public Art & Pedagogy: Public Art & Spatial Politics, is where artist use the land around them to create beautiful pieces of art. After hearing about this type of art, I thought about a large lake near my home town. This lake was man-made nearly 100 years ago. I never considered it art before watching Lecture 1.1, but now, even though it was created without the slightest thought of art, I would consider what those men did when they are creating a large, beautiful body of water art.
