The form of art that concerns sound that is the most familiar to us is music. The definition of what is music may vary, but in my mind, music or at least songs, are created to please. Please in a broad way, which includes soothing, consoling, encouraging and etc. Human voice is often a very important component of music. Many people’s voices are naturally comfortable to hear and there are people who listens to ASMR recordings which often comprises of soft and gentle voices.
Music, sometimes. is voice to be heard.
My final project is producing an album. This is to fulfill the wish of a close friend. People have talents, but not many get the chance to present their talents. The reasons could vary. Maybe they are not good enough, maybe they simply don’t have the resources.
One major motivation behind this IE140 class, I think, is that it is a manifestation of the idea that art is for everyone, and encompasses everything that could be in any ordinary man’s life.
